Biography  

ISABELLE AUBRET is an image, a legend, she's a star and also somebody like you and me, it's simply life ; at 14 years old, she's working on a winding machine in a spinning mill, at 18, she's singing in cabarets and song contest. She wants to believe in her lucky star and she's right : at 24, she wins the first prize of the Eurovision Contest with  "Un premier amour ". She's on the tracks of success.The next spring, it's the tragedy : a terrible car crash keeps her stucked in bed for eternity.

She will not be heroine of " Les parapluies de Cherbourg " the famous Jacques Demy's movie, but there is one thing she knows : she will come back on stage again on day. Her courage and iron will sweep away all prognosis. Jacques Brel used to say with admiration : " Isabelle is a though guy ! ".
